Botanical Art Exhibit
The Boulder Art Gallery is pleased to feature "The Worcester
Illustrators Guild" (TWIG), a group of women who share the
passion of artistic expression and a love of nature. Their
particular focus in botanical art is intended to promote and
encourage the appreciation of plants and nature through careful
observation and detailed artistic rendering. We welcome you to
stop by the gallery and view the richness, subtlety, and visual
accuracy of their classic botanical works. Featured artists
include: Judith Baker, Nancy Horrall, Jeanne M. Kunze, Esther
Klahne, Janice Polletta, and Karen Tucker.
Exhibition is on-going
throughout August and September. Gallery hours are
Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10:00AM - 4:00PM.
Botanical artist, Judith Baker, is one of the six artists from "The
Worcester Illustrators Guild" who displayed their work at
the Boulder Art Gallery.
Vintage Fitchburg
The Boulder Art Gallery is pleased to feature "Vintage Fitchburg",
the postcard collection of Sara Capodagli.  She has assembled an
exceptional collection of over 1000 different postcards of
Fitchburg that span over 100 years of its history.  The postcards
are displayed on easy to view, large panels and are broken down
into 12 categories that make searching for just the right card
quick and easy.  Some of the different categories include, Fire and
Police Stations, Mills, Main Street, Churches, Waterways, Notable
Buildings, and People. We welcome you to stop by the gallery and
view her collection. Matted and framed scans are available of all
postcards.
Exhibition is on-going throughout the month of April.
 Gallery hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10:00AM -
4:00PM.

The Art of Gary Ruuska
The Boulder Art Gallery is pleased to feature the work of Gardner
artist, Gary Ruuska. Gary's medium of choice is colored pencil, which
gives him the opportunity to work in bold rich colors while exploring
the details that define an object or scene. The passion he has for
his art is evident in the very detailed and accurate paintings that
he creates. Gary has recently discovered that acrylic paint is also a
good medium for how he works and you will find a selection of his
acrylic pieces at the gallery. We welcome you to stop by the gallery
and view his work.

“Fun Nuns” Come To Fitchburg
The Boulder Art Gallery is pleased to feature the work of
internationally known watercolorist, Elise Kohl.  Elise Kohl is a
recognized and critically acclaimed New England artist who has
built up a following of fans for her festive watercolor paintings.  
She has exhibited and taught art in Canada and in the United
States for more than 50 years, and is a past president of the
New Hampshire Art Association.
The gallery will be featuring Elise’s “Fun Nuns” series.  This
series reflects her desire to shine a light on the positive aspects
of her stern religious education and her many experiences with
nuns.  Elise created her “Fun Nuns” series in 2008/09 portraying
the nuns she knew so well in a whimsical, spirited, and talented
fashion.

Acrylic Painting Demonstration
Join us  for a free acrylic painting demonstration by the talented
Gardner artist, Lori MacDonald. Lori will focus on the use of brushes
and acrylic mediums in creating trees in a landscape. Also any
questions you have on the use of acrylics will be answered.  Join us
for some wine, cheese, and a fantastic demonstration!
Demonstration will be held Thursday evening, May 6th, at 6:00PM.
Coggshall Park Fundraiser
In conjunction with the Friends of Coggshall Park, the Boulder
Art Gallery, the Fitchburg Recreation Department, the Mayor’s
Office, and the Fitchburg ME Federal Credit Union will be selling
raffle tickets to raise funds to help rebuild the Stone House at
Coggshall Park. Tickets are $2.00 each or three for $5.00 and
are available now at any of the above locations.
The winner of the raffle will have first choice of any one of two
paintings by local artist Jim LeBlanc. The second ticket drawn
will receive the remaining painting. The paintings, “Time
Remembered” and “A Moment in Time” depict different but
similar scenes of ice-skating at Coggshall with the Stone House
in the background.  The drawing will be held in late April or
early May, during the Stone House dedication.
