The following information is provided by Lisa Bauer, the artist's great-granddaughter. Credit goes to the AskArt.com website for making it available. My family has several of his paintings. He worked with oils, watercolors, and charcoal. Most of his paintings are of the New England area. He was born August 31, 1880 in Califen, New Jersey, but spent most of his life in Malden, Massachusetts. He was married to May and had 3 girls, Grace, Eleanor (my grandmother) and Elizabeth. He was Co-founder of Burdett College in Boston, Massachusetts. He died in the early 1960's.
