This is a 1938 Iver Johnson Model 86, Men's balloon truss frame roadster in Iver Johnson "Rajah Red" paint with a hand striped
spear point white head. This bike is in original "as found" condition, with serial # 572923 is stamped on the seat tube of this 18"
roadster. The original 26" x 2 1/8" white with red stripe steel wheels have survived intact and are mated to a New Departure style "D"
coaster brake hub in the rear and an Iver Johnson hub up front. Tires are 26" x 2 1/8" Davis Delux Balloon's. The Iver Johnson "Star"
skip tooth chain ring has 26 teeth while the rear hub has 10. The original Iver Johnson "Ohio 112" 21" handlebars with forward
extension stem and comfort grips are still in place, as is the Messinger Delux Men's saddle and the Persons Supreme ball bearing
rubber pedals. All things considered, a nicely preserved original paint example of an Iver Johnson Men's roadster.
