|Jim Leblanc is a Fitchburg artist who has been painting for more than 40 years. Jim works in acrylics and his favorite subject matter is
classic New England scenes, many of which depict "days gone by" and what he calls, "the good old days". His traditional "folk-like"
scenes, or what many people like to call them, "Currier and Ives" type scenes are quite popular. His work can be found in many
households and businesses locally throughout the community and beyond. Many of his paintings tend to feature winter landscapes as
this has always been his favorite season. Jim is well known in the community and is often commissioned by local residents to paint a
favorite scene or subject.
Jim, now retired, worked in the Fitchburg Public school system for much of his career and his paintings were always popular among the
staff. His paintings often include a discreetly placed bright red Cardinal, and over the years, it has become a signature of his work.
