The top two images are generic examples of interpretive and interactive sign kiosks. The kiosks would be permanently mounted in carefully chosen locations, with each plaque containing a historical narrative, as well as a few supporting images. These stations could include scanable QR codes readable using your Smartphone, that would give you additional and supporting information on the walk and your surroundings.

Trail markers could also be as simple as a granite or wood post, similar to the four images above. Each marker could have a number engraved or attached that identifies a specific area of interest, and could also include a trail map that identifies your location, and a QR code.
By incorporating this QR technology into each kiosk, it will allow visitors to access enormous amounts of data using links to Facebook, Twitter, websites, videos, documents, and other related sites. Each visitor would have the ability to customize their experience to suit their individual interests.
