1935  IVER JOHNSON
MODEL 90 ROAD RACER
PAGE #26
This is a very nicely preserved, original paint, 1935 Iver Johnson Road Racer, serial # 546956.  The original Iver Johnson Ebony Black
paint and single hair line striping is still in fantastic shape on this Men's 22" diamond frame racer.  Up front is the correct  chrome
headtube, narrow chrome racing fork, and gold headbadge with a great patina.   The racer is resting on a beautiful set of original
"Crescent" natural finish wood racing wheels laced to a 36 spoke Model D New Departure coaster brake hub in the rear  and a 36
spoke New Departure front hub.  The Road Racer is resting on a newer set of 28" x 1 1/8 "Universal Tire Company" tires that are
stamped "Elizabethtown, PA".  A Mesinger  "Supreme Racer" racing saddle, Torrington "Star" rat trap pedals,  racing handlebars with a
great forward extension, and comfort grips add to the great vintage look of this racer.   All in all, a nicely preserved example of an Iver
Johnson period racer.
