The idea of this “Walk” materialized during a weekend getaway in July, 2015.
My wife and I had heard of a great exhibit at the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, MA and we wanted to check it out.  As we
drove into this quaint little Western Mass town, I was a little taken back by the number of people simply walking along the
sidewalks and the Main Street.  It was a busy place, with a vibrant downtown.  When we arrived at the museum, we had to
actually wait in line to purchase tickets.  I just didn’t expect this kind of activity in this somewhat remote and isolated little
town.  So, that evening, with a heightened curiosity, I Googled "things to do" in Williamstown, MA and started to compare,
what is this little town offering and promoting that we are not?  What is it that is attracting so many visitors?

Well,  I did notice one of the attractions listed was the
impressive First Congregational Church that sits directly on Main
Street,
……………but, its no more impressive than the First Parish Church that sits at the head of our Upper Common.
