| Well, just as I thought, my Google search indicated that the #1 attraction in Williamstown is the Clark Art Institute, then I thought, we have the Fitchburg Art Museum. The #2 attraction is Williams College, and I thought, we have Fitchburg State University. The #3 attraction is the Williamstown Theater Festival, and I thought, not only do we have one of the oldest theater groups in the entire country, the Stratton Players, but we also have the New Players Theater Guild, CenterStage at Fitchburg State University, and others. Well, here’s where it got a little interesting for me, also on the list of attractions was the Mountain Meadow Preserve Walk and the Hopkin’s Memorial Forrest Walk, to which I thought, we can match those also, we have the Flat Rock Wildlife Sanctuary,The Crocker Conservation Area,The Steamline Trail, Riverfront Park, Gateway Park, and the gem of them all, Coggshall Park ! Fitchburg has more than its share of incredible parks and trails, but what it didn't have was a trail that was specifically labeled and promoted as a "Walk", the type of attraction that Williamstown was featuring. |
